For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $95, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 412 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $340 • Tools hire and delivery: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $65 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly. - Pooja
