A rainwater harvesting system: a volunteer-led effort in Eldoret

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a rainwater harvesting system - we need $450 for materials.

Eldoret
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 405 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $270 • Permits and inspections: $70 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
