For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $750. It will serve about 90 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $750 goes: • Materials: $480 • Permits and inspections: $110 • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Tools hire and delivery: $105 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
