A prosthetic leg for Wendy: help Wendy move freely
Help Wendy get a prosthetic leg so She can join the school sports day.
Anywhere in the world1,466 views
Wendy lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Los Angeles Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,150.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Wendy could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $2,550
• Fitting and training sessions: $200
• Delivery and set-up: $175
• First-year servicing plan: $225
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending good thoughts, Craig. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Los Angeles.
Stay strong, Craig. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Macon
