A prosthetic leg for Slamet: help Slamet move freely
A prosthetic leg would give Slamet independence - we're $650 away.
🇮🇩 Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia499 views
Slamet lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Jakarta Selatan Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Slamet could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $650 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $600
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• Fitting and training sessions: $20
Every share and every dollar helps.
Updates from Dimas
Good news. Because of your gifts ($57 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Stay strong, Dimas. I hope things turn around soon. Love from Brescia.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Slamet.
Prosthetic leg is $600 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Ask me anything else.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from San Fernando.
