A prosthetic leg for Sérgio: help Sérgio move freely
A prosthetic leg would give Sérgio independence - we are $150 away.
🇧🇷 Brazil631 views
Sérgio lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Caxias do Sul Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $150.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Sérgio could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $150 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $55
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• Delivery and set-up: $55
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
