A prosthetic leg for Pavel: help me move freely
Help Pavel get a prosthetic leg so He can attend work interviews.
🇧🇩 Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh1,092 views
I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at Savar General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $400 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $320
• Fitting and training sessions: $20
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $35
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Wishing you the best. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Memphis but we're thinking of you.
Thanks for sharing this. Your post was clear and honest. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.
