A prosthetic leg for Mona: help Mona move freely
Mona needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $450.

Mona lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Giza Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Mona could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.

• Fitting and training sessions: $20
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• prosthetic leg: $420
