A prosthetic leg for Mauricio: help Mauricio move freely
A prosthetic leg would give Mauricio independence - we're $1,550 away.
Anywhere in the world804 views
Mauricio lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Puebla General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,550.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Mauricio could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $1,300
• Fitting and training sessions: $115
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $105
With deep gratitude,
Karina

Praying for you, Karina. Looking forward to the next update. Don't be hard on yourself for asking
Sending love. Shared this with my family. After 23 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.
Best of luck, Karina. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Lagos.
