A prosthetic leg for Koji: help Koji move freely
A prosthetic leg would give Koji independence - we're $6,200 away.
Anywhere in the world828 views
Koji lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Kitakyushu Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $6,200.
His current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Koji could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $6,200 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $5,500
• Fitting and training sessions: $280
• Delivery and set-up: $145
• First-year servicing plan: $275
Every share and every dollar helps.

Good luck. Looking forward to the next update. Please keep us posted. Thinking of Kitakyushu.
Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Kitakyushu.
Sending good thoughts, Mariko. Wishing Koji a smooth procedure and a full recovery. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Jakarta Selatan.
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Kitakyushu.
Keep going, Mariko. Hope you get there
