Gerard lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at Dublin General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,950.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Gerard could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Gerard.
It's all in the list in the story. delivery and set-up is the big one at $105, I'll post a receipt when it's paid.
