A prosthetic leg for Carolina: help Carolina move freely
Carolina needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $1,950.

Carolina lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the São Paulo Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,950.
Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Carolina could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $1,700
• Fitting and training sessions: $115
• Delivery and set-up: $70
• First-year servicing plan: $65
