A prosthetic leg for Carlos: help me move freely
Carlos needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $3,550.

I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Alcalá de Henares Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $3,550.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.

• Fitting and training sessions: $150
• Delivery and set-up: $140
• First-year servicing plan: $160
