Bat-El lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Tel Aviv Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $550.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Bat-El could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
