A powered wheelchair for Véronique: help me move freely
Véronique needs a powered wheelchair that the health system will not fund; the cost is $600.

I live with an amputation below the knee. My occupational therapist at the Boulogne-Billancourt Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $600.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $600 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $125
• First-year servicing plan: $160
• Fitting and training sessions: $315
Glad we found this place.

so sorry you're going through this. Shared it with a few friends. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Praying for you, Véronique. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We're a small family in Accra but we're thinking of you. God bless.
