Terry needs a powered wheelchair that the health system won't fund; the cost is $10,200.

Terry lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the San Diego Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $10,200.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment Terry could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $10,200 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $9,500
• Fitting and training sessions: $220
• Delivery and set-up: $160
• First-year servicing plan: $320
