A powered wheelchair for Tammy: help me move freely
Tammy needs a powered wheelchair that the health system won't fund; the cost is $650.

I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at Swansea General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $650.
My current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $650 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $105
• Fitting and training sessions: $320
• First-year servicing plan: $225
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
