A powered wheelchair for Hande: help me move freely
Hande needs a powered wheelchair that the health system won't fund; the cost is $2,400.

I live with cerebral palsy. My occupational therapist at Istanbul General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,400.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $2,200
• Fitting and training sessions: $55
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $120
