A powered wheelchair for Halina: help me move freely
Help Halina get a powered wheelchair so She can speak with the people around her.
🇵🇱 Poland796 views
I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Warsaw Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,050.
My current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $1,950
• Fitting and training sessions: $50
• First-year servicing plan: $50
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Rooting for you, Halina. Shared this with my family. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Warsaw.
