Hadley lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at the Philadelphia Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $4,050. Her current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 3 weeks. With the right equipment Hadley could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $4,050 goes: • powered wheelchair: $3,400 • Fitting and training sessions: $250 • Delivery and set-up: $180 • First-year servicing plan: $220 Glad we found this place.
