A powered wheelchair for Frank: help me move freely
A powered wheelchair would give Frank independence - we're $700 away.
🇩🇪 Germany1,349 views
I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Nuremberg Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $700.
My current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 7 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go to school independently. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $700 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $240
• Delivery and set-up: $170
• First-year servicing plan: $290
Thanks for being kind about this.
- Frank

Hang in there, Frank. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
