A powered wheelchair for Dedi: help me move freely
A powered wheelchair would give Dedi independence - we're $355 away.
🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia753 views
I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at the Jakarta Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $355.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment I could speak with the people around him. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $355 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $270
• Fitting and training sessions: $55
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $5
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
