Anjana lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Mangaluru Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,350. Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment Anjana could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,350 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $15 • First-year servicing plan: $30 • powered wheelchair: $1,305 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
