A powered wheelchair for Ahmet: help me move freely
Ahmet needs a powered wheelchair that the health system won't fund; the cost is $850.

I live with profound hearing loss. My occupational therapist at the Üsküdar Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $850 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $650
• Fitting and training sessions: $70
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $110
I hope life is good to you.

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Üsküdar
Thank you. If you're in Üsküdar I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Ask me anything else.
Praying for you, Ahmet. Shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Davao City.
Take care, Ahmet. Shared this with my family. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless.
Wishing you the best, Ahmet. Shared this with my family. All the best.
Take care. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Üsküdar.
