We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $2,600 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,600. It will serve about 90 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,600 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $220 • Tools hire and delivery: $195 • Materials: $2,185 Glad we found this place. - Teresa
