A playground for Union Park: help our neighbors in Cairo
A community-led a playground at Union Park that will serve 449 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 449 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
• Materials: $330
• Permits and inspections: $50
