A playground for the old Maple bus depot: help our neighbors in Bornova
Volunteers in Bornova are raising $850 for a playground at the old Maple bus depot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 84 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $850 goes:
• Materials: $570
• Permits and inspections: $80
• Safety equipment and signage: $110
• Tools hire and delivery: $90
