A playground for the Maple vacant lot: help our neighbors in Setagaya
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $2,500 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,500.
It will serve about 414 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Materials: $1,750
• Permits and inspections: $120
• Safety equipment and signage: $290
• Tools hire and delivery: $340
With deep gratitude,
Chihiro

Thank you all. We're at 5% now ($125). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts.

Best of luck. Looking forward to the next update. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Aswan.
