A playground for Pioneer Primary School: help our neighbors in Jacksonville

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $750, and the remaining cost is $1,000. It will serve about 233 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly.
