A playground for Maple Park: help our neighbors in Jacksonville
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $1,200 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,200.
It will serve about 479 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $650
• Permits and inspections: $240
• Safety equipment and signage: $310
