A playground for Lotus Primary School: help our neighbors in Belém

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $300. It will serve about 346 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $300 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $130 • Permits and inspections: $100 • Safety equipment and signage: $70 Every share and every dollar helps. - Débora
