A playground for Jacaranda Park: help our neighbors in Venice
Volunteers in Venice are raising $2,400 for a playground at Jacaranda Park.
🇮🇹 Veneto, Italy1,113 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,400.
It will serve about 379 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $360
• Permits and inspections: $210
• Materials: $1,830
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
