A playground for Harmony Park: help our neighbors in Syracuse

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $550. It will serve about 174 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $550 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $300 • Permits and inspections: $105 • Tools hire and delivery: $145 If you're reading this, thank you. - Natalia
