A playground for Cedar Park: help our neighbors in Depok
Volunteers in Depok are raising $450 for a playground at Cedar Park.
🇮🇩 Depok, West Java, Indonesia492 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 92 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $450 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
• Materials: $385
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Dimas
Good news. Because of your gifts ($60 in total) the plan for materials is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
