A playground for Baobab Primary School: help our neighbors in Kinondoni
A community-led a playground at Baobab Primary School that will serve 137 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 137 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $230
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
