A playground: a volunteer-led effort in Mumbai
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $400 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 471 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $230
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $75
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
