A playground: a volunteer-led effort in Los Angeles
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $3,100 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $3,100.
It will serve about 572 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Safety equipment and signage: $360
• Tools hire and delivery: $330
