A playground: a volunteer-led effort in Awka
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $150 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $150.
It will serve about 223 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $150 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
• Permits and inspections: $45
