A place to stay near the Bogotá Cancer Centre while Alejandra receives treatment
Looking for a host or low-cost room within 30 minutes of the Bogotá Cancer Centre.
🇨🇴 110126, Bogotá, Bogotá D.C., Colombia783 views
My mother Alejandra has been accepted for treatment at the Bogotá Cancer Centre in Bogotá, starting on Thursday in August. We live 247 km away in a town in the north, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself.
We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 6 weeks. Two of us would stay: Alejandra and me. We can contribute $30 a week and cook for the household if you'd like.
Alejandra will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you.
Thank you for reading my story.

Stay strong, María. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Bangkok!
Best of luck. Get well soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Maringá.
Hope things get better soon. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Johannesburg but we're thinking of you. All the best.
sending love. Hope this works out for you. Love from La Plata
Good luck, María. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Cleveland this morning. Blessings.
good luck, María. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless!
thanks for sharing this, María. Gave what I could, wish it was more.
Rooting for you, María. Hope this works out for you. Take care
