My father Imad has been accepted for treatment at Cairo Children's Hospital in Cairo, starting on Wednesday in April. We live 209 km away in a town in the north, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Imad and me. We can contribute $10 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Imad will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Glad we found this place.

  • Hang in there, Hamza. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from La Plata.

    • I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Zanzibar City.

                • Best of luck. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Birmingham
