Matilda was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in July. The surgeon at Takoradi Regional Medical Center recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,050, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $750 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Takoradi Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,050 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Matilda struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Matilda won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.

• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $65

Sure. The biggest one is surgeon and anesthesia fees, $390. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one.
