Juliet was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in May. The surgeon at Lagos Orthopedic Institute recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,150, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $900 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Lagos Orthopedic Institute since May. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,150 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Juliet struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
