Ayşe was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in September. The surgeon at Bursa Community Hospital recommended a partial thyroidectomy, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,350, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $800 short.
my wife has been in and out of Bursa Community Hospital since September. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without a partial thyroidectomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,350 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Ayşe struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Ayşe won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
