A pair of hearing aids for Udara: help Udara move freely
Udara needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system won't fund; the cost is $350.

Udara lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Dehiwala Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $350.
His current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Udara could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $350 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $300
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• First-year servicing plan: $40
