A pair of hearing aids for Mugisha: help me move freely
Mugisha needs a pair of hearing aids that the health system will not fund; the cost is $800.

I live with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. My occupational therapist at the Mombasa Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $800.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $800 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• pair of hearing aids: $760
• Delivery and set-up: $5
