A pair of hearing aids for Kayla: help Kayla move freely
A pair of hearing aids would give Kayla independence - we're $1,600 away.
🇯🇲 Kingston, Kingston, Jamaica460 views
Kayla lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Kingston Rehabilitation Centre has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,600.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Kayla could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• pair of hearing aids: $1,450
• First-year servicing plan: $90
• Delivery and set-up: $60
Thanks for being kind about this.

is there anything that isn't money that would help Kayla?
Thank you. If you're in Kingston I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Happy to explain more.
Sending strength, Fitzroy. I hope things turn around soon. All the best.
