Jepkoech lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at the Embakasi Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a pair of hearing aids. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,350. Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Jepkoech could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $1,350 goes: • pair of hearing aids: $1,250 • Fitting and training sessions: $70 • First-year servicing plan: $30 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
