A fresh start in Cologne: help the Karimi family resettle
Help a family of 7 start their new life in Cologne: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Afghanistan 9 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Cologne. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was a teacher in Afghanistan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,350
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $600
• Language classes and bus passes: $220
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $180
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
