A free library and reading room for Unity Primary School: help our neighbors in Berlin

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,550. It will serve about 527 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $3,550 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $410 • Materials: $2,950 • Permits and inspections: $190 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Julia
