A free library and reading room for the Sycamore community hall: help our neighbors in Saket
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $300 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 447 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Materials: $155
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $80
